The Historic Village in Clermont, Florida has some exciting features! It is at the corner of
West Avenue and Osceola Streets, 490 West Avenue, Clermont, FL 34711. The Train Depot was built on
this site about 1925. Added next door to the Train Depot is the Townsend House, and then, the Kern House.
And, now, the original Cooper Memorial Library building has been renovated and opened!!!
The Bike Trail which runs all the way to Apopka goes right beside the Historic Village. It was
part of the "Rails to Trails" initiative and the Trail runs right next to the Train Depot
station following the path of the railroad tracks. Lake Minneola gives a beautiful water view as you jog,
walk, bike or simply visit the Historic Village and sit on the NEW Train platform with covered porch, picnic tables & restrooms!

Volunteers have been the backbone of the Clermont Historic Village. Wonderfully talented retirees,
and other professional and interested people have a vision for this project. The officials of the City of Clermont
continue to help in many ways to insure that the project will be stable and secure for generations to come.
